FAQs
BeauMorgan Advisors provides comprehensive financial planning and investment management services. Below are answers to frequently asked questions to help address common topics and better support your financial decisions.
What happens in the first meeting?
The first conversation is about listening, not selling.
We’ll talk through your goals, concerns, and what prompted you to reach out. If it makes sense to move forward, we’ll explain what working together looks like. If not, you’ll still leave with clarity.
Are you a fiduciary?
Yes. Always.
We are a fiduciary, which means we’re legally and ethically required to act in your best interest — not ours, not a product provider’s, and not a third party’s.
Many of our clients come to us after discovering conflicts or incentives they didn’t know were there.
How are you compensated?
We’re a fee-only advisory firm. Clients pay us directly for advice and ongoing guidance.
We don’t earn commissions or get paid for recommending products. That keeps the relationship clean and aligned: our job is to give clear, honest advice — nothing else.
Who do you typically work with?
We work with people navigating meaningful financial transitions — retirement, business exits, inherited wealth, or the shift from growing money to protecting it.
We also work with ultra-high-net-worth individuals who want a more thoughtful, research-driven approach to equity strategy — and who value independent thinking over off-the-shelf solutions.
Across the board, our clients want fewer surprises, clearer decisions, and a plan that reflects real life — their family, their values, and the future they’re building — not just markets or theories.
Where are my assets held?
Your accounts are held directly at Charles Schwab & Co., a regulated third-party custodian, so your assets remain separate from Beau Morgan Advisors at all times.
Do you sell financial products or insurance?
No.
We don’t sell products or receive commissions of any kind. When insurance or other tools are part of the conversation, our role is to help you evaluate options objectively — without being financially tied to the decision.
How does Beau Morgan invest client money?
We invest with one goal in mind: helping clients make good decisions over long periods of time.
Before anything is invested, it’s important to know where your money actually lives. Your assets are held by an independent, highly regulated third-party custodian — not by Beau Morgan Advisors. This separation matters. It means your investments are protected by strict oversight and clear reporting that doesn’t depend on us.
From there, our work is about judgment and discipline. We study businesses, tax rules, and real-world risks so decisions are intentional, understandable, and connected to how money is actually used in life.
We don’t chase trends or headlines. We focus on clarity, context, and steady decision-making — especially when noise or emotion makes that difficult.
Do you try to time the market or move in and out?
No. We don’t believe consistently timing markets is possible — and we’ve seen how costly that assumption can be.
When evidence meaningfully changes, we’re willing to act — but we don’t confuse activity with progress.
How do you think about market volatility?
Market movement is normal. The real risk isn’t volatility — it’s reacting poorly to it.
We plan for uncertainty upfront, so decisions aren’t made in the middle of stress. When markets move, our focus is on context: what changed, what didn’t, and what actually matters to the client’s plan right now.
That discipline protects long-term outcomes.
How involved do I need to be?
As involved as you want to be.
Some clients like to be hands-on. Others prefer to understand the big picture and trust the process. Either way, our responsibility is the same: to explain decisions clearly and keep everything aligned with what matters most to you.
Do you help with charitable giving?
Yes — especially when giving is connected to taxes, income, and long-term planning.
We help clients give intentionally, so their generosity supports the causes they care about without creating unnecessary tax consequences.
How do you protect my privacy and personal information?
Your information is treated with strict confidentiality.
We use secure systems, limit access, and never sell or share personal information outside of what’s required to serve you or comply with the law.
Your information is never sold or shared for marketing purposes.
